Pathway to Profession
This curriculum gives participants a safe space to develop good work ethic and skills in self-management, discipline, and professional career.
Program participants will be held accountable through formal mentorships and other support services that will ensure program completion.
In addition to coursework, participants will produce a portfolio of their work, which may include a CD of their songs, a book of poetry, a graphic design portfolio, etc. They will also work with a team on a final project, which may include a sneaker exhibit or fashion show, a concert, an art exhibit or other public demonstration of their accomplishments.
At the conclusion of 10 months, each participant will be placed in an internship for two months where they will be further mentored and evaluated for potential full-time employment.
